so today i decided to begin watching skins season 5. one of the episodes consisted of this one guy who is a metal head, listening to a certain record that was so incredibly loud, that he became deaf. only briefly though. while being unable to hear, he goes to one of his friends' ballet recitals. in his head, he creates the music and is able to admire each step and the glistening lights on stage more. in the context of the story, he does end up falling for her. there has to be something more metaphorical behind this, right? beauty is usually ignored.
Have you ever loved someone so much, you'd give an arm for?
Not the expression, no, literally give an arm for?
When they know they're your heart,
And you know you were their armor.
And you will destroy anyone who would try to harm 'her.
But what happens when karma turns right around and bites you?
And everything you stand for, turns on you to spite you?
What happens when you become the main source of her pain?

Trying to make it work but man these times are hard
But we're gunna start by drinking old cheap bottles of wine
Sit talking up all night
Saying things we haven't for a while, a while yeah
We're smiling but we're close to tears
Even after all these years
We just now got the feeling that we're meeting
For the first time
But we're gunna start by drinking old cheap bottles of wine
Sit talking up all night
Saying things we haven't for a while, a while yeah
We're smiling but we're close to tears
Even after all these years
We just now got the feeling that we're meeting
For the first time

Florence And The Machine
This band really doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Given, it is not your everyday rock band and change does intimidate people. But, it is a really good mix of rock and indie. As long as I can remember, music has been attached to my ears, and I have to admit, this band has to be one of the few that has impressed me entirely. I am not against any type of genre, I listen to a little bit of everything, and like any other person I prefer more than others. What I have to come to realize is that each and every band has their own voice and tone that makes them stand out, so that each and every person can recognize them. Florence and the Machine is unique in a different sense. Each song tells a different story and each one seizes to shock me. Listen to: Heavy In Your Arms, You've Got the Love, Cosmic Love, Dog Days Are Over, My Best Dress, Kiss with A Fist and More..

The Unknown Truth
The clouds were threatening.
The misery of the universe reflected upon the color of the sky.
Waves tormented the shore.
The horizon line was barely visible to the land eye,
As well as to the creatures that swam in the sea.
Engulfed in water and unable to meet the air above,
They were pushed down by the currents until they could almost breathe no more.
For many, never again did they feel the sun palpitating on their blubber and skin,
But in all hope, a small turtle appeared...struggling to glide towards the sand afar.
A large shadow rose her up so that she stood as tall as she could've never imagined
And as she breathed in the ray's scent for the last time,
the humble creature thought to herself,
"How beautiful to die in the hands of one I had always feared,"
And with that, the sun set, oblivious to the unknown truth
And the human, watched as her eyes fluttered.

The accumulating snow in New York City is horribly uninspiring. Literally, you see clumps of brown and damaged white fluff on the streets. The only beautiful thing about it is seeing it from afar or from your window. Buildings are covered in white, giving off a sense of an angel like environment. Being able to travel to the country side of New York last week, I was awakened again by the true sincerity of snow. It falls every single day and is simply a daily aspect of the country. And for once, the cold didn't seem so bad. Falling back into piles of snow in the country became the new sitting on sidewalks living the bum life in the city. "Hey look, you can catch snowflakes on your tongue," said my friend. And for the next minutes or so, we savored the clean snowflakes, untouched by the materialistic air of the city. As much as I love the city I live in, the trip did prove to me that I could live in either or. I guess I could say that I'm extremely thankful for all the opportunities that I've gotten my whole entire life. It's proved that we do have choices.
