psycologyyy moment ;)

theory:
when you're terribly concentrated on being distracted from being distracted, then you're finally concentrated.

example:

" it is like when you are upset and you hold the radio against your ear and you tune it halfwaybetween two stations so that all you get is white noise and then you turn the volume right up so that this is all you can hear and then you know you are safe because you cannot hear anything else. " -the curious incident of the dog in the night-time

the character
is saying that
although its noise
its silence, to him.
so, because the noise is so repetitive and distracting,
he's concentrated on the distractions so hes actually fixated.
so basically, to him, peace and being calm could be
disruption to others.

and i can relate to this.
because i can only concentrate
if im listening to music.
music that i know the lyrics to.
because i'm so concentrated on
singing the lyrics that i'm extremely focused.
most people can't relate to this
because many believe that in order to
be completely and utterly concentrated
you need silence. but there's no definition for silence really
silence could be stillness and quietness
while silence could also be harmony
or, zero disruption towards the things we love

conclusion:

to me...
silence is music.
